Introduction: I became a Trainer to show my passion for fitness, helping clients achieve their goals and maintain health for life. I have extensive experience creating personalized one-on-one fitness plans, teaching group classes and training with clients ranging in age, ability and fitness goals. I believe in building client relationships in order to deliver short and long-range fitness goals. Being multi-lingual (Portuguese, Spanish), has also assisted in serving a diverse set of clients over the years. I am comfortable with facilitating fun and high results training with all ages and abilities. I have designed fitness regimes for both individuals and group classes, and have extensive knowledge of whole body health including nutrition. I have completed the Balance Body Pilates teacher training program and have taught group Pilates, Kettlebell, TRX, indoor cycling and weight training group classes.

Ravi is an outstanding professional, an extremely dedicated individual. Genuinely cares about helping people and go the extra mile to do so. I have an injury on my left wrist from a fall I took a year ago that still hunt me with pain. Ravi made me a bunch of questions and honestly; seem to care more than the doctor who operated on me. Crazy! I was amazed when Ravi brought me all of these ideas on how he had customized my training to maximize strength on the necessary muscles around my injury in order to minimize my wrist pain. Other than having also created a program that fits my needs and goals as a surfer. Really stoked, absolutely recommend having him as a trainer! “Thanks Ravi, because of you I’m enjoying my surf sections a lot more. Cheers”

I’ve been training with Ravi Machado now for about 1 year, and I look forward to our sessions every few weeks. My initial goals in wanting to hire Ravi as a trainer were to gain strength and improve posture. I already had a good foundation of how to lift weights but with some recent neck and lower back pain I wanted more guidance on lifting with correct technique as to not cause more pain. Ravi not only has been helpful in those regards, but has taught me a lot more. Sometimes we work out with body weight, or with a combo of weights, and kettlebells. And other times we’ll just focus on Pilates (as he’s a certified instructor), and some sessions we’ll do a combo approach of weights, HIIT training, and Pilates — which is nice and keeps me on my toes not knowing what I’ll expect. What I’ve learned in my time working with Ravi. I need to stretch more (I have tight hip flexors and hamstrings). The Pilates machines are perfect for doing just this, and even though I dread stretching at times, it’s so necessary to prevent further injuries. I sit and drive a lot for work, and though I’m an active person and fit, he helps me identify those trouble areas of my body that I need to prioritize with stretching (and strengthening) — and we all have them. And not to mention that Pilates is a killer workout! I’ve learned to focus on my back and strengthen my shoulder/back stabilizers to help combat neck pain which has definitely lessened as a result of working together. I also now know how to properly swing a kettlebell and give myself an awesome leg workout in a short period of time. If you’re looking to add variety to your workouts, get stronger, become more flexible, improve posture, and become more aware of how your body and muscles behave and hold onto tension, definitely work with Ravi! I promise you you won’t be bored and his down to earth personality and expert knowledge regarding personal training and Pilates will keep you coming back for more workouts. - Mike N, San Francisco - 5/31/18

I value the focus and professionalism Ravi demonstrates during every fitness session. He encourages me to complete my repetitions when I begin to falter, and knows when I really need to take a breather. His tone of voice and body language are neutral, professional, and never threatening! Each fitness session is different than the previous one as we work on flexibility, agility, balance, stamina, and core strength.

Mi experiencia con Ravy como entrenador personal.a sido muy buena he logrado mi objetivo de aumentar músculo he aumentado 7lb. Y además de ayudarme con terapia en mi problema con mi hombro que me limitaba hacer algunos ejercicios ahora lo hago sin ningún problema en realidad muy profesional y en su trabajo muchas gracias Ravy!!!
