Introduction: I specialize in intimate weddings, receptions, small gatherings, and special occasions. I love capturing beauty, even in the subtlest things. It doesnt matter if Im shooting in an old church, dusty barn, hotel ballroom or the price of the dinner plate. All events, people, and places are viewed through the same lens: unique, important, special, and worth remembering. Memories, moments, and special details are being made constantly, and I live to capture them. My style is primarily photojournalistic/documentary in nature and uses mostly natural lighting when possible. I prefer to stay behind the scenes in most cases, as I feel it enables me to capture the rawness of moments, when people are experiencing, feeling, and expressing their truest emotions. The day of the wedding you can expect me to be pretty quiet. Depending on the hours of coverage, each wedding produces an average range of about 400-900 finalized photos. There is not enough space or words that we can use to express how lucky we were to work with Dena. From the moment we met her to discuss her photographing her wedding, we knew that she was someone we wanted to work with. Not only is Dena brilliant at what she does but she is professional, kind, and thoughtful. She made the entire process fun and special. Dena checked in on us frequently before the wedding and has continued to do so after the wedding, with little touches such as sending us a sweet package before the wedding with fun goodies and most recently a holiday gift. She goes out of her way to do things like this that we would never expect but are so thoughtful and appreciated! Her website and the tools on it are very user friendly and helpful as is the gallery. Our outdoor ceremony was on an incredibly hot and humid day (92 degrees!) and I don't think Dena ever stopped moving. Dena was there for 12...yes 12 hours and both she and her assistant were so much fun to work with. I have never liked being in photos but Dena made us feel incredibly comfortable and captured our personalities. All of the photos are incredible and we truly wouldn't changed a thing. Please, do yourself a favor and book Love Key Love/Dena Galie... you will not regret it!

I knew that the photographer we chose for our wedding would not only have a huge impact on our day, but give us the most lasting memories from our wedding. Dena was the perfect choice. She was professional and personable. Dena was a natural part of our entire day, and the photography never felt intrusive. We love how Dena made us feel comfortable through the entire experience. Even though we were planning our wedding from out of town, she took the time to meet with us when we were in town and was flexible with communicating with us by email and phone. Dena also helped to ease our minds the day of our wedding. Her relaxed nature put us at ease and it showed in our photographs! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While I do offer two set packages (a “Complete” and an “A La Carte”), in most cases, I build custom packages for couples. Your wedding will be unique, why shouldn't your photography package be? Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me regarding packages and pricing. I’d be happy to work with you one on one to build something that fits your specific needs. Plus, occasionally I offer seasonal discounts and specials and contacting me directly will make sure that you don’t miss out!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of the tools I use to operate my business is a password protected, online platform that houses all of our communications and files so that everything is in one place. As a convenience, it also integrates with your email so that you can quickly and easily respond to messages. The system can also accept online payments, which my couples love!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While most of my photography education and training comes from self-education and over 10 years of on the job experience in photographing weddings and events, I do hold degrees in both multimedia arts as well as business. So, not only am I able to provide you with high quality, professional images that capture your big day, but I’m also able to provide you with a seamless customer service experience in accordance with professional business practices.
