I would NOT recommend the services of J&J Construction. First, the alleged repair and maintenance was performed on May 21, and not even one-month later water is coming in my home in the exact same area. And, J&J Construction’s response to the water still coming in my home is that they do not warrant their repairs. So, buyer beware, I’m out of $750 to J&J Construction and I have no evidence that any work was completed, and certainly not a job well done. Additionally, J&J Construction was hired not only b/c water was coming in my dining room/living room area, but also b/c my homeowner’s insurance required the repair and evidence of the repair including a final invoice of payment and pictures of the repair. Jeff, ½ of J&J Construction, came to my home for a preliminary review, I showed him the homeowner’s insurance email requiring certain repairs, he made an assessment and provided me with “before” pictures. Jamie, the other ½ of J&J Construction, sent me an email outlining the work to be performed. The work was to be completed on May 21 and I again reminded J&J Construction of the “after” pictures I needed evidencing the repairs and a final invoice. J&J Construction failed to provide me with the final invoice and pictures to submit to my homeowner’s insurance in enough time so that my insurance wouldn’t be cancelled. I emailed J&J Construction four (4) times requesting the information, called the telephone number that they still have in-service up to eight (8) times, and my homeowner’s insurance company even tried contacting J&J Construction three (3) times. I had to hire a person with a drone to come to my home and take pictures of my roof. Again, I would NOT recommend their service.

I was beyond pleased with J&J Construction. They gave me the best quote by far and the work was flawless. I have recommended them to others and plan to use them again in the future. A+, as good as it gets.

J&J Construction put a new roof on my house. They did it in a timely manner which I greatly appreciate considering the weather they were dealing with at the time. They did find some additional work that needed to be done. The only thing I would change would be, I would have liked a more detailed invoice upon completion of the project. This way I could have seen more details of the cost for the additional work that needed to be done.

Jeff initially came by and caulked a leak at no charge when it was getting dark and raining. He cares about his customers. He proceeded to do a very good job; one completely new roof done at budget (not overcharging for extra wood needed) and repaired a roof over a garage. Fair pricing and quality work.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to contact our customers and speak with them about their project before putting an actually bid on the project. We like to do it this way because then our customers know exactly what they will be getting in their contracts. Our estimates are always free!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My husband and I started out working in this business when we were 18. We took care of 32 homes in Aliquippa for a company. We enjoyed working together and enjoyed doing all home remodeling. We ended up starting our company in 2012. We enjoy working directly with our customers and helping them rehab there homes. We treat our customers homes as if they were our own. We always like to show them exactly what needs to be done by providing pictures to our customers. We feel that this is something that is beneficiary to our customers to see exactly what we see on the roofs!
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with residential and commercial customers. We also did some work for a new play ground for Baldwin boro. We volunteered our time to help with this project.
