Recently we purchased a large house with lots of wood trim- and I was overwhelmed with decisions on how to update to make more modern yet keep the wood. There was honestly just too much of it and it was truly just too nice to paint. Every Pinterest room you see overflows with white trim- and I couldnt bring myself to paint the beautiful woodwork in this home even though it was the dreaded oak. So I hired Sara for her designer for a day package and it was exactly what I needed! We walked room to room and she helped me pick a whole house color palate that toned down the wood and pulled everything together beautifully. I have a pretty good sense of style but sometimes its really worth the investment to hire a professional. She knew so much about color theory and picking the right shades to compliment and help modernize the existing features that I did not plan on changing. I was able to pick her brain and get ideas for hardware choices, light fixtures, even furniture placement. The peace of mind in getting to take this big project and develop a roadmap with her help was so valuable. Money well spent! Painting is just completing now and Im starting on changing out some hardware, light fixtures, and furnishing. Im sure some pictures of how the paint changes drastically updated the rooms without painting the trim will eventually make it to her site- its such a common problem, youll have to check them out! Thank you Sara! You are so knowledgeable, professional, and chic! Im so glad I found you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Jade Scott Design offers a free 20 minute discovery call. We gather as much information as possible and discuss pricing. From there, we schedule a paid in-home consultation. We will discuss design ideas, client desires, and investments. We'll also conduct all preliminary measurements and photography at that time.
