FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't really have a standard pricing but I like to work by the project instead of by the hour. Most of the time when you have someone work by the hour they tend to drag a job out over the time necessary to complete just to make a buck. I believe in the price per job for many reasons but the main thing is that you know what your spending up front.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First it's important to meet my customer and get to know them and what their needs are for their home or current project. Then it's best to weigh the options. There is often more than one way to go about a project. Then we can discuss budget and pricing. I let the customer decide how to proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned every trade from an early age and had to do all the hard work before I could graduate into higher levels of training. I've earned each lesson with hard work and experience. Early on in high school I trained to be a draftsman this gave me the insight for details that I could see from the beginning what the end result would be and prepare for it. I also studied to be an architect and an engineer in college which gave me more structure and discipline to follow through with heavy task oriented projects. I also did an apprenticeship program where we would have to re design existing structures within a limited budget and space. This by far gave me skills that I have used often to help my clients with their projects. Finally I trained at NKBA for kitchen and bath remodeling.
