Katie from Picturesque Photograpghy was excellent to work with! Our son wanted to look at anything but the camera yet she got amazing pictures that highlight our family. She had a lot of patience with us and that helped me be relaxed and have fun with our session. We got proofs back very quickly and I'm in love with them! Katie did an outstanding job photographing our family! She had a lot of great ideas for placement and back grounds. She communicated well with our children and made us all feel at ease. The only think that could have made our experience any better would have been if it was warmer which is 100% out of Katie's hands. ;)

Katie is the BEST! She did our maternity, newborn, 1st birthday smash cake and now two year old photos! She’s so fun to work with and can literally adapt to any any situation.. (cranky newborn, messy baby, wiggly toddler lol) She’s incredibly creative and has great ideas for settings/poses while also asking and making sure you get the shots you want!

Kaitlin did an amazing job! We are not used to having our pictures taken, but she made us feel very comfortable and we are in LOVE with our photos. The angles and lighting are perfect! She gave us great direction if the way we were standing didn't look right or if my hair was placed poorly. We highly recommend Picturesque Photography & can't wait to see our wedding photos!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is meeting with new clients. I enjoy hearing their different stories and being exposed to their families along the way. I love gathering ideas from my clients because I may not be the only creative person in the room, and at the end of the day it is about the clients and the photos! I do free consultations prior to scheduled sessions either in person or via email. That way I can communicate with my client about their desires for the finished photos!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While attending the University of Iowa I completed numerous photography courses. I have been taught on Canon DSLR cameras and do all my photo retouching with Adobe Professional Photoshop.
