Wow. What can I say. Prices here are really flaky. I was offered $175 for for a booth, a CUSTOM TEMPLATE, and 100 prints. I added 100 more prints for $50, so in total I should have paid $225. Which is not bad for a photobooth. So, on Wednesday May 31st I messaged the pro on Thumbtack telling them the theme of the party I was hosting - Hawaiian. They didn't email me back until the week of pick up to confirm the theme, and they did confirm that the theme of the strip would be Hawaiian. They ALSO said they would send me a copy for approval, but they never did. The picture below will show the sequence of the emails and no where in between is there a copy sent to me for approval. BUT TO MY SURPRISE, when I got there the design for my strip was just blue. So I asked why there isn't a design in the back. They said "Because you didn't purchase a custom template, but a basic COLOR template." So them why did they ask me for a theme for the template? So I said "So there are two different templates correct? A COLOR template which is one solid color and a CUSTOM template that carries a design?" The male worker at the time said yes, that there is a difference but I would have to ask the woman behind the desk. So I approached her and told her I was offered a CUSTOM template included in my package. She said, "No, a CUSTOM template is only a name, no design, the design is extra." I explained that the other employee pointed out the difference, that a COLOR template is what was given to me and a CUSTOM template carries a design. There excuse was that the person that offered me that package was fired. But THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRICES. WHAT WAS OFFERED TO ME DOESN'T CHANGE. So she tried to pull something out of her bum and explain that it says so online. And what do I do? I look online and there is nothing that explicitly explains that a CUSTOM TEMPLATE is only a color and a name on the bottom. IN FACT, the CUSTOM template thumbnail on the site HAS A DESIGN AND IT STATES "Custom Templates (detailed graphics)". SO THAT MEANS I PAID EXTRA FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS ALREADY INCLUDED IN MY PACKAGE. I was offered a CUSTOM template INCLUDED in my package, I got a color template. So, I had to pay an extra $25 to change the design to a CUSTOM template. WHICH I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IN THE PACKAGE AND WAS IN THE Even though the employee who made this offer to me was fired, that does NOT give you the excuse to raise the price and make me pay for something I had already purchased.
