Don't fall for their sales!!! Please read before you waster your money! Ok so I posted and add on Thumbtack for a rat problem we are having in our attic. I was so impressed with their service, they answered the add within minutes and then when I called they said they could be there in an hour. In the meantime, I received other quotes on Thumbtack that included pricing. When Rat-Free arrived, the technician, Michael, actually couldn't have been nicer. He explained where the rats were getting in from, why they were there, and how he would eliminate them. He then provided us with a quote. Despite being more than double-triple the cost of other quotes we had received, we went with them because of their promises. They told us how the poison they use kills all the rats and forces them out of the attic to die, as they seek water because of the poison's effects. They said how others would use traps and would be back multiple times to clean the traps, whereas they were a one-treatment solution. He assured me that we would be rat-free in 7 days. Sounds amazing right? Now is where the problems start. Fast forward 7 days later. Yes, the rat noises had gotten less, but they were still there. I wake up very early to exercise, and I could hear them scratching above me as I warmed up and later as I stretched. Additionally, we started smelling dead rats. So much for driving them out. I called them back that day, as they said to wait 7 days for everything to work. They assured me that they would take care of the problem and would call me back when they had a technician ready. No call. Thursday we were too busy to call again, so I called again Friday. I was told that Michael would contact me on Saturday. Meanwhile, our house had three different areas that stunk of dead animal. Michael did call me on Saturday, and he said all the right things at first. He was so sorry, he would get it fixed, etc. One problem: he was on vacation until the next day. He assured me that he would call on Sunday night and would come out either that night or the next morning. Now it is Monday, and I have been calling and texting both Michael and the main office repeatedly. I haven't heard back at all. The only good news, its been so long that the smells are basically gone. But now I have dead rats stuck in my attic rotting, and I have rat noises at night, the original problem that prompted our call. The initial service seemed great but the follow-up could not have been worse. DO NOT USE THEM OR YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY. I hope this review helps others save.

Rodent management at its best. Don't get me wrong, I don't know anything about pest management except that I don't want them around my house. Micheal showed up on time.. explained my options and took action. He was knowledgeable to the task and executed as stated. I had literally an infestation of rats in my attic and I thought I had one or two. I thought I could simply manage this situation on my own only to find once you catch a few in your own traps you may be in over your head. Did some research, there are all sorts of options to getting rid of these critters but to be honest I gave Micheal every option short of an attic fire to get rid of them. I was not interested in saving the lives of these pests.. I wanted them gone. Micheal did just that in less than 10 days. We also know that death of any kind is not a pretty site and there was some odor but in reality it was not as bad as expected. Pest Umbrella came back with in week, deodorized and we appear to be rat free. Followed up to ensure any egress holes, crevasses and patched them up. Gave us some additional education which I hope I never need. If ever get a hint that these critters are even close to my house in the future I will certainly give these guys (aka Micheal) a call. Highly recommend.
