- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Minimum for any project less than an hour: $10. Papers/Projects/Blogs/etc.: $20/hour. For projects 10 pages or less, allow at least 3 days' turnaround. For projects in excess of 10 pages, discuss turnaround time at hire.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, fill me in on the type of project you would like proofread/edited. I will then respond with a quote and a time frame for the polished return of your project. Corrections are made clearly in bold, red text, and/or highlight so you can't miss them! This is so that you may decide which corrections to accept and which ones you prefer to remain in their original form. If you have trouble seeing what was corrected compared to the original, it's likely the punctuation attached to the word, formatting, or an extra unnecessary space that was removed. If a correction cannot feasibly be made clear in the returned text document, it will be prominently noted in the message back to the customer alerting the customer that the job is completed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor's degree with two majors and two minors, as well as two certificates. I have served as the Public Relations Chair and President of various community organizations in need of professional and accurate messaging on the web, social media, press releases, promotional literature, and other publications. At university, I worked with the Center for Excellence in Writing, as well as with the Office for Students with Disabilities, where I ensured the highest quality readability and accuracy for students who required note-taking services due to handicap. I spent two months teaching English in Argentina to both children and adults. Now, a significant portion of my livelihood is ensuring the highest degree of accuracy and professionalism in all published materials and in my agency's online presence.
