- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a fitness assessment to determine your functional movement ability so we can train injury free and achieve maximum results. We use a scientific approach to exercise by implementing evidence-based methods with individualized exercise prescriptions. Our training system builds usable muscle through smart functional movement. Our program increases performance through balanced programming and a training system that decreases injury through innovative restorative techniques.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Biology and Exercise Physiology, with a focus in Biomechanics and Strength & Conditioning. After graduating, I completed my Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Biomechanics at Adelphi University. While attending Adelphi University, I ran the Stage III & IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Program as well as establishing a childhood obesity program through Winthrop Hospital. I served as one of Adelphi University's Strength & Conditioning coaches for their Division I and II sports teams. Most recently, I worked as an Exercise Physiologist in the stress laboratory at New York Methodist Hospital and as Head Exercise Physiologist at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. I am a Certified Exercise Specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine. I hold certifications in Functional Movement Screen level I and level II, Onnit Academy Unconventional Training level I, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Tabata Boot Camp. I am currently studying to be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA Certification Commission and a Certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.
