Introduction: Mellen Money Management is an independent fee-only financial planning firm locally based in Jacksonville, Florida. We also provide the convenience of video conferences for those who live in other parts of the US. Our offerings include the full-service investment management and comprehensive financial planning. While our specialty lies in helping young professionals and families navigate past the confusing maze of college financial aid and student loan repayment. It is our mission to ensure our clients conquer the financial burden of getting a college education with a proactive plan. We believe this budgetary hurdle cannot be solved in a vacuum. Financial trade-offs, like saving for retirement, must be prioritized with other goals competing for your money. The bottom line is we help our clients quantify, evaluate, understand, and plan for the financial impact of major life transitions, so that they do in fact achieve their goals and dreams, thus allowing them to live a more fulfilling life. I especially enjoy helping clients simplify the complexities of their personal finances in a meaningful way -- making an actual difference is what drives me and my business. Ever since I witnessed the stressful effect the dot-com market crash had on home life as a kid, I knew I wanted to get in the financial services industry so I could help other families avoid the same financial regrets my Dad and Mom suffered. After completing my BS in Finance at Miami University in 2006, I haven't looked back and have been giving sound financial advice to clients ever since.
