FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Three things: #1. The bitterness of a poor job remains long after the sweetness of a cheap price fades. --- We can't beat the unlicensed, uninsured, handyman's prices, or the do-it-all, cut rate pickup contractor, but the little extra it costs to have the job done right the first time is money well spent. It is not uncommon for homeowners to hire us to pick up where a bad contactor failed or to fix sloppy work. #2. We save you time and money because we are specialist. When it comes to kitchens and baths we handle all aspects with experience, expertise and efficiency. #3. Only get bids from and work with licensed, insured, trustworthy businesses if you want your job to go smoothly and be done with integrity. Ask yourself if the salesperson is sincere about helping you or if he's just trying to make a big commission.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most customers have an idea of what they want done but not a detailed plan or design. At Schultz Home Improvement, we start out by listening and asking questions, then we offer advice and develop a detailed plan that is used to prepare a proposal for the work. Once the proposal is complete and agreed to, the project is scheduled and products are ordered. A week before construction begins you receive a preconstruction packet that includes the set schedule, the team members names and positions, and tells you what to expect and how to prepare. When all the products are obtained and the start date is reached, we execute the project according to the proposal. We stand by our 100% customer satisfaction mission throughout the entire process and take every effort to make the experience simple and enjoyable.
