Introduction: I provide individualized music therapy sessions and adaptive lessons. I believe that each individual should be seen as a whole- health comes from one's physical state as well as their emotional, cognitive, and social states. I like to go in to a first session with no prejudgments or expectations of the client's identity. This allows me to meet each person where they are in the moment and use music to meet their needs as they come up. Using creativity and flexibility in addition to structured sessions and set goals and objectives lets music therapy clients reach their full potential and experience a higher quality of life. I especially like working with adults who are experiencing life changes and need an outlet with which to process the emotions that go along with these changes. My training is in medical music therapy and psychotherapy, so I create a safe space in which to engage in music that will meet goals like regaining speech for those with brain injury, gait for those with Parkinson's, emotional regulation for clients with a big life change or a new diagnosis, etc.
