Working with Taylor was awesome! Most of my experience with trainers has been martial arts, strength training, and powerlifting, and I was once a trainer myself. I found Taylor on his Instagram and saw that he was a former collegiate track athlete, so I worked with him to incorporate sprint training into my workouts to get cardio in while building muscle. I personally don't enjoy cardio, so I knew that I needed an expert to hold me accountable. When I tried to sprint on my own, it KILLED my lower back and I didn't really know how the track lane markings worked. In my first meeting with Taylor, he walked me through all the track markings and proper sprint basics. We did mostly 100m for our sessions though. Taylor's attention to detail helped me sprint pain-free and so much faster, and my form was so much better. Juggling sprint training with powerlifting was rough and Taylor did a great job at picking the right exercises and drills at the appropriate intensity to keep me improving without over-reaching or over-training. Taylor also added in stuff that was relevant to my other goals like calisthenics and abdominal training, which I never do in my powerlifting gym and certainly not on my own. The results speak for itself. I went from being stuck at a max squat of 360 for months to squatting a max of 380 after several weeks of incorporating sprints. Favorite drill: Sandbag Sprints Training locations: Lincoln HS, Jackson Middle School

Working with Taylor greatly improved my quality of living. I struggle with autoimmune illness along with severe sensory processing disorder. I am unable to feel my body which makes engaging the right muscles a challenge. Because of the sessions with Taylor, I was able to develop muscle memories which helped me recover from my recent health crash with lasted for more than 8 months. I would work with him again if I was still living in Portland!

I’ve been working with Taylor for almost two years now. Work outs are always interesting—designed for me with the right amount of challenge. I’m 3 sizes smaller, and a zillion times stronger. Can’t say enough good things about POA!

Taylor has been working with our son for 2 years. He individualizes the workouts to help our son meet his specific goals. Taylor makes the workouts fun, and he is kind and considerate. It’s been a great experience.

I met coach Taylor through OCR ( obstacle course races). He offered me a chance to train with him so I jumped on it. Not only was he a good coach but he planned specific workouts towards my level of fitness and sport of choice. I learned new fun ways to train and felt extra motivation with the guidance of an elite level athlete. Highly recommend starting here if you're looking for that extra push to get you closer to your physical goals.
