About this pro
I am a licensed and bonded professional that has been working as a handyman and maintenance engineer for 10 years. I have experience with many different trades and would be happy to assist you with any projects or repairs. I enjoy taking on challenging new projects of custom furniture and tend to lean more towards a rustic look when building custom pieces. As an engineer in both high rises and ships I have worked on many different systems to include appliances, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. As a construction worker I have several years experience in carpentry, framing and drywall. Even if I am not completely familiar with the model of the equipment that is broken or the plans for what you are looking to have built, it is very likely that I have worked on something similar. I take pride in providing a clean, affordable service in my clients homes and businesses. Providing these services allows me to help other people in a way that I enjoy and is also helpful in allowing my clients to be able to take care of their home and construction needs, stress free in knowing that my service is reliable and affordable

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I want to provide a fair price to you but also make it worthwhile for myself. Because of this I won't always offer a standard hourly rate. For bigger projects I would prefer to give a set price bid but for smaller jobs or when asked to perform multiple odd jobs at the same property I will give an hourly bid depending on what the skill level may require. IE: junk hauling versus drywall repair versus small carpentry or plumbing jobs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? If a simple job is requested I don't mind sending a bid and talking to the client over the phone to set up the details. When dealing with a more in depth project, I like to sit down and get a feel for the clients expectations of the outcome and also ask what they are expecting from me. I like to have a free and open dialogue in order to make sure we are both on the same page with what is going on during the project and to also make sure that my client is happy with the end result and it is some thin I am proud to put my name on and walk away from.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Aside from owning and fixing up 4 houses of my own, I have worked in many fields of construction to include carpentry, plumbing and dry wall. I have worked as a building engineer in large high rises managing and participating in repairs and remodels of all kinds. Most recently I have worked as an engineer aboard an ocean going vessel maintaining all equipment and areas of the hotel department and engine room. Your project may not be something I do everyday but it is likely I have done it before and have the knowledge to explain to you the process of how the project will be performed and what it is we need to get it done.
