About this pro
On short notice, provided half a day work.Jun 1, 2018Verified
We hired Jody's business partner Ben to paint the interior of our Portland bungalow. We could not be happier with what Ben did for us! The house feels fresh and new and ours now. He was very prompt and communicative throughout the entire process. He did a great job patching holes and making our walls and trim look new. He also stepped in to help finish our kitchen's backsplash with fresh caulking, making the backsplash look new too! We would definitely hire him again and have already recommended him to family in the area.Jul 5, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My basic pricing system is simple. I charge by the hour but I have a minimum for the 1st hour to cover truck and travel costs. I do not have an elaborate system of fuel, disposal, or any other surcharges. I only ask the customer to pay for their materials in which I usually always can buy up front. I have a house flipping and renovating background so I understand how to save money, find solutions, and make things work when possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?New customers are the greatest. They give me the opportunity to meet and hopefully make new connections with great people. As a new customer you must feel like I have your best interest in mind. It is my responsibility to provide or recommend only the services the customer needs, not push non essential services just to increase a bill. I do however look for safety concerns or things that I might be an easy fix while I'm there, like a door that doesn't close quite right. I believe this shows my devotion to my customer service and safety. I enjoy providing a new customer with quality service and making sure they are comfortable enough to ask me back.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?20+ years of having to do it myself and figure it out, but more importantly, pay attention when someone shows you. It helps when you enjoy the learning process. I like to live by "work smarter not harder"
