I took 12 hours of beginning sewing lessons with HB and loved her patience and professionalism. Each class she supplied the materials needed (sewing machine, babylock machine thread, muslin fabric, iron etc) which was beyond what I expected. She also brought in helpful books and answered any questions I had by researching the answer if she had to. Classes were fun because she's personable and treats you like a friend rather than just a student. She's very knowledgeable about the industry of fashion where she speaks from work experience. She's also punctual and sweet. I really felt I got a solid understanding of sewing my first dress with her and feel I've gained a local fashion buddy in the meantime.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with each client according to their needs. Depending on the scope of work, I price my services by the hour. Please send me a message or a detailed description of your needs for a more accurate quote.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am interested in learning about my client's current sewing knowledge and what their end goal is. Then, we work on skills needed to reach that goal. I like to teach the basics but also tips and tricks that can make sewing more fun and also look more professional.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fashion Design Degree I've worked for companies such as Trina Turk, Lucky Brand, Equipment, Fox Head as well as collaborated with brands like Bench, Sold Denim and Mercy-Loyal.
