- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a wide variety of services, and much depends on what you need, and the unique elements of the job at hand. As a general rule, my rate starts at $15/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It begins with a conversation, where we discuss your unique needs. With pet-sitting clients, I like to meet the critters as well as the people, find out about any special needs, issues, diets or medications, and begin to get comfortable with each other. For 'handy ma'am services', I like to get a clear sense of your goals and visions for the project. With gardening, I focus on native plants and permaculture principals to help you create a natural environment that nourishes you and visiting wildlife.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have cared for pets, farm critters, and urban wildlife since I was small. Over the years I became the "go-to" pet sitter, and emergency responder for injured wildlife, among friends and family. More recently I have worked on urban farms, as a veterinary assistant and dog biscuit baker. Perhaps it was fate that I would become a pet-sitter and urban farm-hand!
