Introduction: What I love about the work I do is that it IS effective. It is psychological and spiritual growth all at once . It is an honor to engage with clients in the intimate process of self discovery and awakening. Nancy is Compassionate, Articulate, Knowledgeable and both a Great listener and speaker!! We also Appreciated her making time to see Sarah as we needed to see someone last minute as we were visiting family in Portland and leaving the city in a few days! Nancy got us in and we Deeply Appreciated that. We are definitely coming back to Portland for the upcoming Holidays and have already booked a couple more sessions with Nancy Walker!! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My in-office fee is $125/60mins; $150/75 mins
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If desired, I am happy to offer a free 10 minute phone consultation. The first session we will look at your past history, if any, with counseling; what is bringing you to counseling; the goals you are hoping to achieve and how we might work towards them. I will share how I work, what I propose, what my commitment is and how I believe I can help you. Each person's process is unique and respectful of that individual. Every individual holds his/her own answers to the questions that s/he brings. My job is to serve as guide in that unique journey of self discovery and awareness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in Child Development and a post graduate degree in Biographical Counseling. My primary modality is IFS (Internal Family Systems). I have also studied Voice Dialogue, Hakomi Experiential Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Psycho-Physical Therapy, Art therapy, and Sand Tray therapy. I am equally versed in Psychodynamic and Jungian Theory.
