Voice and Piano Lessons with Anya Kalina
About this pro
Anya is an amazing teacher. She has great stories and multiple ways of explaining things. She creates a great learning environment for learning and has helped increased my confidence (which is why I wanted voice lessons). She has also successfully convinced me that I am actually a soprano and can hit notes I would have never thought possible. I always look forward to our lessons and working with her.Aug 9, 2018
I’ve been taking voice lessons on and off for over 20 years in 4 different states with many different instructors. Anya is perhaps the most gifted, knowledgeable and relatable instructor I’ve ever had and I would recommend her to anyone from beginner to advanced! Truly a positive experience in so many ways. So happy to have found her!May 7, 2018

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? There are no two students alike. I generally develop lesson plans individually for every student based on their goals, skills, age and other factors.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have extensive experience teaching voice and piano for adults and children of different ability levels and in different music styles. I started studying music when I was very young and started teaching after earning my degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I work with kids and adults. Any skills or experience level is fine. For piano lesson I accept kids as young as 6. And of course there is no age limit to start learning how to play piano! There are several factors determining if our body is ready for voice lessons, but as a rule I generally work with students 12-14 and older.
