Introduction: Hi, I’m Celia. I work with people who want to look better, feel better, and move better. What distinguishes me as a trainer is my approach— anyone can make you sweat, but not everyone can hold you accountable, deliver results, and make sure you have a great time while you’re doing it. I’m an encouraging trainer who prefers to highlight and build upon your strengths rather than beat you down with what you’ve done wrong. Every client is unique and I cater my approach accordingly. I’m also a certified nutritionist. Proper nutrition fuels your workouts and has a huge impact on your performance and your ability to reach your goals! Nutrition is one of many variables I monitor that can impact your results. I work out of a great community-oriented gym in NE Portland and also travel to homes and offices at your convenience within the Portland metro area for an additional fee. After training with Celia for four months I have seen tremendous progress from where I began. My main reason for beginning strength and mobility training was to ensure proper form and optimize my workouts to hit my goals. Celia has been quick to answer any questions outside of our training sessions, which has proven to be extremely useful.

Celia was a wonderful trainer. She pushes clients with just enough intensity while being focused on proper form and technique. Every workout challenged me just a little more than the one before. Her great personality made the workouts fly by and I looked forward to each session together.

Celia is the best combination of technical knowledge and intuitive insight! I have worked with 5-6 trainers over the past years and she has been the very best for me. I am 71, reasonably fit but age-appropriately creaky and tight. And for whatever reason, I have emotional reactions to being active in my body. I chose to work with Celia first because she was a “Master Trainer”. I figured she would have a lot of experience to draw from. I read that she had been a competitive athlete (swimming) and was worried that she might be too aggressive in what she would expect from me. That has not at all been my experience. Celia has designed over 9 training sessions for me targeted at my goals. She listens to my feedback and has adapted some sessions but still keeps them challenging. She creates a safe space to push yourself, to try new things and to reach for stretch goals (like doing a pull-up) with the help of a true partner. She is great fun to work with and I look forward to my sessions with her. I highly recommend her!
