Introduction: I have been a massage therapist for over 16 years, and am a fitness enthusiast. I offer 1 1/2 hour massage sessions, and I enjoy working with both men and women of all ages, and will design a treatment that meets your personal needs. I offer a variety of therapeutic massages including relaxation, sports massage, trigger point, and cranial sacral to improve your overall health, and encourage your body to heal. Maria was amazing! I booked an hour massage and she spent nearly 2 hours making sure all of my issues were addressed. I'm a student so I spend a lot of time hunched over books getting knots in my shoulders/ neck. I've had massages before that are too gentle to the point of not really targeting the right spot, or too hard where I leave feeling sore and beat up, but this one was perfect. Maria has really strong hands so can get to your most difficult areas while still being aware of the amount of pressure she is applying and for the right amount of time. She seems to have a really good working knowledge of the anatomy as well, and surprised me when she was able to name the exact problem I was having. I am definitely going back and I highly recommend this place. If you are looking for a spa-like experience, however, this probably isn't the place for you. She works out of her home... but despite that she is completely professional and the massage room is very clean and comfortable.

I ask all new patients to fill out a questionnaire listing all/any current medical conditions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA--they are the number one massage school based on their program. I was also a fitness instructor teaching cardio classes in both land and water aerobics, spin, and strength training for over 15 years, and have received national certifications in my field. I am a fitness enthusiast and keep up my fitness by running and strength training.
