FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I strive to provide fair pricing that reflects my qualifications, efficacy, and experience. I’m happy to discuss payment options with prospective clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by discussing the customer’s needs, and communicating how I can help. I assess the student during an initial consultation via Skype or phone, in order to determine the person’s current knowledge and skill set, as well as their unique learning goals and needs. I use this information to develop a customized plan for each student, preparing high-quality, individualized materials, and implementing tutoring sessions within this framework. I seek feedback in order to accommodate each client. Finally, I communicate goals, progress, and tips for home extensions after each session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA with Teacher Certification from the University of Texas at Dallas, and well over a decade of experience working as a tutor, classroom teacher, substitute teacher, and volunteer mentor/tutor. I graduated with a 3.85/4.0 GPA in undergraduate work.
