Introduction: Thank you for checking out our company profile. We are Chris & Renee Gibbons of Licensed To Chill SWFL Inc., a local, family-owned business in Punta Gorda. Renee runs the office/scheduling and I handle sales, service and installations. We truly enjoy living and working in Charlotte County and feel blessed to be a part of this community. I chose to work in this industry because I started out working in HVAC for a very small firm many years ago, then was recruited by a large firm in Michigan, where I spent years refining my craft. I have vast experience in all facets of HVAC both in Residential and Commercial. I ventured out on my own as I have always wanted to have my own business and enjoy being my own boss. I feel I can deal more fairly with customers and have the flexibiity to work with them on pricing etc. since it's my own company. My former employer still, to this day, asks me to come back and work for him. To me, that says alot... We started in this industry in 1985. We chose License to Chill from Home Advisors. They showed up on time and gave a fair quote. We called them back and had them install a new air conditioning unit. The price was exactly what they quoted, the job was done on time and when they were through, they cleaned up so well I couldn't tell that they had been there at all. No problems at all, the unit works perfectly. We highly recommend them. Will call them again for maintenance service and would recommend to family and friends as well.

Replaced complete condenser and air handler. As my old system was dead on Friday I received prices from three highly recommended HVAC service providers and LTC gave me the best up front price. Chris nursed my old system along to survive the weekend and offered me use of a temporary indoor unit in case it broke down. He showed up early Monday and despite bad weather had my complete new system working by end of the day. Service was great, andew system has performed excellent.

My A/C was just not working efficiently. Replaced the blower and made other adjustments. Works great now and much less expensive than the alternatives.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every homeowner's situation is different. Price will depend on size of the space to be air conditioned, level of efficiency they are looking for (price is increased with the higher efficiency unit, however they save the customer in monthly electric bills). If ductwork or alterations are needed, that would change the price as well. Licensed To Chill now offers Zero Percent Financing for 18 months as well as other financing options!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will meet with the customer to determine what service or installation is required. It is important to be able to see the current system size and placement in the home in order to provide an accurate quote. There is no charge to meet with a customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Christopher has over 30 years experience in the HVAC industry in both Michigan and Florida.
