- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices are based on a number of factors including word count, project deadline, and anticipated number of revisions. We offer a complimentary consultation so that we can learn about your project and provide an estimate. Our basic pricing structure is as follows: $90/hour for small projects and intermittent writing/editing support. Large or ongoing projects will be given a personalized quote after a complimentary consultation. Editing pricing is based on the level of editing needed. We charge $3/page for proofreading; $10/page for APA editing; and $14/page for developmental editing. You will receive a quote after we review your document to determine the level of editing needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We conduct a complimentary 30-minute consultation with all new customers. The goal of the consultation is to learn more about your specific needs and verify that we are a good match. We then provide a quote or estimate, depending on the nature of the project, and issue a client services agreement and invoice. We require partial payment upfront to hold space on our calendar and start the work. Next, you will be matched with a coach or editor who has experience that complements your needs. You then coordinate directly with your coach or editor for virtual or in-person (depending on your location) sessions at a time that is convenient for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each member of the Dissertation by Design team holds a doctoral degree in their respective fields and has extensive experience conducting research, publishing, and grant writing.
