Follow through and provide an estimate Brian you’re right I did not hire you. You stated you would review the job and provide an estimate within a couple of days. You contact me offering easy payment options for a job that wasn’t me. You need to be more organized and keep your word to potential customers. I really needed this done and probably given you more jobs as I have plenty of trees on my property. Following through is important for business.Sep 8, 2018Verified

Thank you Itzel. I am glad I was able to help further your addition project with this tree removal!
Brian came inspected The job we wanted doing Trimming 7 palm trees he arrived quoted a price which we agreed to All good so far he suggested shaving trees too ok we agreed on that price too ! He was supposed to show up two days later. Cancelled. Rescheduled. Then said he was only able to do half the job and come back the following day to complete. This was not convenient as we had arranged for other work to be done that day So we agreed he would come today He showed up later than was agreed. After a few hours he told me he couldn’t finish the job it was too hard and taking him Too long So he up and left! So now we have two half shaved trees and one tree that has been trimmed. Awful service. I am stuck With ugly looking trees now When asked why he couldn’t finish he said it was too hard of a job and trees too high !!! Well could you not see how high they were when you came here bad serviceAug 16, 2018VerifiedBrian L.'s reply
Hello Tony. After reviewing your statement, I agree. I bid the job, a full tree removal and servicing 7 palms for a set price, all to be completed at that price. We completed the removal as requested, however when it came to the palm trees, my initial assessment failed to discover that the 6-9” hardened spikes remaining from what I can see was a less-skilled servicing of these trees left them in an unclimbable state. I attempted to climb first, to be sure. After that attempt I determined that further work would need to be done to reduce the husks in size (an amateur looking result) or a complete skinning of the husks to clear the way to service the trees. After skinning one juvenile tree to assess the time required to complete this task, I approached you to let you know that additional work would be required to remedy, and it would significantly expand the scope of the time allotted, increasing my costs (4 days additional labor and much higher dumping costs) to far beyond the original estimate, ignoring any profit I might achieve from performance. You insisted on staying with the original estimated budget. Remember, we had removed your tree and hauled materials and paid dumping already. I decided that it would be best to step aside from the project, eat my losses and in doing so, allow you to find more suitable service within the constraints of your budget, being that best efforts had been made to complete this project. I did not charge for the removal and trimming as compensation for the inconvenience of my incorrect assessment. It is my hope that you achieve your service goals and have a great result which you deserve. I apologize for the inconvenience and any misunderstanding.
Brian is very professional and reliable. I would defiantly hire him again for the future jobs!Aug 26, 2018VerifiedBrian L.'s reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We are arborists, not landscapers. Our fees are commensurate with the sole experience of working with trees and large shrubberies. We specialize and can treat diseases and help you determine the long term viability of your trees health and placement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I consult to determine their exact needs and then let them know if I can meet their expectations and what the result should be for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I worked ground crew and climber positions with a local arborist for four years.
