- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While we may not be the cheapest, we are the best and we have seen everything. Once you take the fact our roofer has been doing this for 40 years, and our fence foreman has been doing this for 25 years, and as a general contractor we have pretty much contracted everything under the sun at some point, you gain an out of the box sense to tackling projects. We take the complex jobs no one else would dare. Our pricing for our experience and tenure is very reasonable. We operate on a draw system as projects complete instead of the common 1/2 down 1/2 completion scenario. This allows you to approve the jobs in increments instead of being locked into dropping half your funds into the project up front. It keeps the contractor on top of your job at all times because we want to get paid, and keeps you in tune with the project. For our custom home and commercial builds, we operate on a simple 15% plus cost, with bonus based upon meeting our deadlines, and being under budget. This means you get our massive list of artisan subs, you get an open book, and we work for you to get the best price, because when we save you money, we are helping each other for an incredible project, both aesthetically, economically, and emotionally... as the project at the end of the day is more than brick and mortar, its about the relationship. We will never take a kick-back on a new build, we work for you and your satisfaction. At BOLT, we intend on having you a customer for life.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always want to meet you before we bid. We like to touch and feel the project. We also want you to get along with us and us along with you. If the relationship starts hard, it usually stays hard. Being on the same page with your customer and on a very friendly basis makes the jobs fun and easy going. Most of our customers we call friends after we finish the project. The coolest thing about BOLT Construction is that we our technologically savvy. We have insta, twitter, and facebook, and post hourly pics of our daily work... and as a customer this is so cool as you get to watch your work from work, play, or vacation. Communication? We define communication. When you call our referrals, ask how is communication with the owner of BOLT Construction? They will tell you that Tommy responds practically as fast as you text, and that his phone must be medically attached. How many times will BOLT come back to make you happy, if an issue arises? The answer will be as many times as it takes to make you happy. For better or for worse, at BOLT Construction, the customer is alway right.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our subs are the best in the business. They are fast, courteous, and experts in their field. We know them all as close friends in the business. When we see a project, we already know who we want to use for it. We are not on the phone the next day trying to find a sub when we sell a job, we'll tell you at the bid who we will be using and you will feel like you know them before they arrive!
