Terrible! Don’t hire them! I had a minor issue with my upstairs A/C and unfortunately hired D&C to come out, assess, and fix. They came out and diagnosed a “restricted line” that was $285/per unit to clean and advised I was not low on Freon. They reassured me that was the issue. I paid them $570 and my upstairs unit never got cooler, so I had them out again 5 days later and he told me everything was fine and that I just had a “hot spot” upstairs. I’ve been in my home for 6 yrs and never had this issue so for them to tell me it was fine and I had a hotspot upstairs was absurd. I had to call a reputable company to fix my issue. It was low on Freon and visually apparent because there was dead grass around the coil line. So, I ended up spending $950 bucks for low Freon. I was also told D&C would reimburse me half the $570 since they did NOT fix my issue and they stopped responding to my calls and thumbtack messages. I don’t expect all my money back because I know time is money but they literally did not fix anything and took $570 from me. If you like your hard earned money then please do not hire these guys on thumbtack. I would give less than 1 star if I could. Hope this review will help you so you do not end up in my situation. I'm sorry katie, D you feel that way but unfortunately that is not true , your system was poorly maintained and it was restricted and wasn't maintained in 6 or more years also .. we gave you a upfront price before any repairs was done and told you what was the problem with your system ... filter was sooo dirty that it look like you didnt replaced it in 6years ... And also if you look at Katie D other review she gave us 5 stars after our work was done because her system was cooling, but her boyfriend didnt like the price she paid for her poorly kept cooling system ... So if you don't take care of your system and you want our technician to repair it for free ... that isn't fair Please Mrs Katie, D tell the truth..its wright on the review you wrote... just take a look below 🔊🤔God Bless ...
They may tell you prices up front but you don’t find out later they are twice as high as market on things like Freon recharge. Over priced and underwhelming. They don’t actually do any of their own heavy lifting (like the guy said he will supervise) so the cost structure makes things more expensive. Their quote for labor only to replace the evaporator coil was over $3k and I know they wanted to charge another $800 for Freon.
