- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We have no hidden fees!!! Part of making moving easy for you, is helping you know exactly what you are paying for. When we submit our quote to you, we list all of the services that are provided with our service. When you call us, we will discuss absolutely everything included in your move. *Tools and materials used during your move are included at no additional cost. *Furniture Assembly & Disassembly is also already included. *There are no fees for multiple flights of stairs, or long-carry (having to park a distance away from the entrance to your home). *Tolls are not included on hourly moves, and will be added to the total cost of the move, if applicable. *Parking Permits are not included (In certain cities, such as Philadelphia or Jersey City for example, you may need to obtain a temporary parking permit for the truck. That allows you to block off two parking spaces for 24 hours, so that we can get your items in and out quickly, saving you time and money. Otherwise, if we have to park the truck down the block or around the corner and carry the items a long distance, you can expect your move to take much longer to complete. That will cost you much more than a $25 parking permit! We will ask you where you are located, and discuss all of this on the phone with you early on. Payment can be made by cash or card. Payment by credit card has a processing fee of 5%, while there is no fee for payment by debit card. Payment by cash receives a discount of 3%. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Well, it can be different depending on the services needed. We proudly specialize in local moves. While we do offer free in-home estimates upon request, a local move is hourly based, so a specific inventory is not typically necessary. We will confirm the specifics of the move (stairs or elevators, parking restrictions, starting and ending addresses, scheduling) over the phone, and obtain a general inventory from you. Based on that information, we can provide you with an estimate as to the time and cost of your move. From there, we get you booked and set! With piano moving, we confirm specific details with you over the phone (piano type, stairs/elevators, parking restrictions, starting and ending addresses), and often ask for a picture. We offer you a flat rate, confirm scheduling, and get you booked and taken care of. For long distance moves, we offer a variety of cost options. We offer flat rates, or moves based on weight or cubic feet. While many of our customer prefer the flat rate option, there are many ways to go about the process. - How did you get started doing this type of work?We first got into this business when our son was born. We moved from Texas back to New Jersey to be closer to family, and the process was grueling. It was such a headache trying to find a moving company that was not only straight-forward about prices, but that offered personal service! Having had experience in labor positions for years, we decided to invest into a field we not only were capable of, but that was necessary for everyone! People are constantly moving, and we wanted to be the company that helped make that process a little less stressful, and little more friendly. We are all about personal service. Moving is more than just a job or a career. We help real people through what is often an extremely stressful and sometimes emotional time. We are all about making a difference. Years later now, we look back, and can't imagine having done anything else!
