FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you're local (Rochester, NY) and seeking psychotherapy or counseling and have EAP benefits, you should check to see if I'm one of your options using your EAP benefits. If you're local and have Cigna or Aetna, your health insurance probably covers most of the cost, except for the co-pay. If you're not local and can't use your EAP or health insurance or don't have Aetna or Cigna health insurance, I charge $65/session (1 hour) in person or via phone, Skype or Internet.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial consultation -- 1-2 sessions before the client decides to proceed -- to allow the client to determine if I am a good fit for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MSW, Catholic University of America, with internships at The Psychiatric Institute of Washington and Northern Virginia Family Service, post-graduate training and supervision + pro bono/volunteer work with Whitman-Walker Clinic in DC.
