Introduction: ORNAMENT LOUNGE: is lovingly handcrafted in my home-based jewelry making studio. I have been handcrafting jewelry for 6 years, and I best describe my jewelry collections as "WHIMSICAL, CONTEMPORARY, WEARABLE ART". During my growing years in India, I drew a lot of influences in colors, textures and design motifs from my natural surroundings and informal painting and art history lessons from around the world, through my art teacher. Now, when I design and handcraft jewelry, I enjoy exploring with colors and textures, and design with gemstones, metals, stoneware, recycled glass, ceramic, porcelain, leather, paper, resin, faux bone. In the last few years, I have discovered “ART BEADS” - beads and components handcrafted by bead artists specializing in various media. I have been drawn to them due to their handmade nature, uniqueness and the influences they carry from their artists based around the world. Every jewelry piece I make has a deep-rooted handmade component, and is a synthesis of the art beads, and the story I continue to tell from my diverse material palette.
