FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The very first step is a free consultation to meet the student and his/her parents to ensure that there is a good fit. After we establish that there is a good working relationship we enter into a contract for the right amount of services need to guide the student throughout the college admissions process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jill holds a certificate degree from UCLA Extension in Independent College Counseling. She also has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta School of Business Accelerated MBA program where she graduated with Honors.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Unlike a lot of educational or independent college consultants, Jill did not come from the world of education or the world of counseling. Prior to launching a college admissions consulting company, she spent over 20 years in Corporate America leading successful marketing teams on products that ranged from syrup to toliet paper at some of the largest Fortune 500 companies in the world such as Campbell Soup, Unilever, Georgia Pacific and UPS. After leaving Corporate America, and being a parent of high school students, Jill realized that she had a passion for learning about the college admissions process. The college search can be overwhelming, confusing and can create a lot of stress in the household. The realization that students with full schedules, extracurricular activities and the daily stress of high school don't always have the bandwidth to fully navigate the process themselves became very clear.
