- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first Meet and Greet is at a local PetCo. This first session is to asses the interactions of the animal with other animals and people. After that, and the paperwork is completed (ie: shot record and record of spay/neuter). The following sessions are at either my home. Or ... with Covid a thing, the lessons may also be done remotely. If you choose the Service Animal training, SA's are done after the first 5 weeks at restaurants and a Walmart. People places for final testing in the 10th week.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mine isn't book learned ... it's a love of animals and a desire to help people and animals relate, get along and work together as a team (family). Much of what I do is help a human relate to their furry family member better and more effectively and I've been doing this for over 30 years now. About 7 years ago, my church added the F.I.D.O program and things just kind of took off from there. I'm good at what I do!!
