- How did you get started doing this type of work?
La'Shawne Richmond is the owner and creative director of The Doll Face Chef which opened its doors in 2013. It is a "Luxury Niche" Bakery that produces quality cakes with an elevated presentation for the discerning client. The company was developed based upon a lack of quality baked goods from scratch for weddings and special occasions. To date, they have created close to 100 wedding cakes ranging from a sheet cake up to a 6-tier wedding cake and everything in between. The "Doll Face Chef" has a unique menu filled with southern favorites such as Red Velvet Cake, Peach Cobbler Cupcakes and Old fashioned Lemon Wedding cake. However, they have over 20 different cake flavors, over 20 different fillings and several buttercream icings to choose from. All made from scratch…. Uniquely, they also have a line of cupcakes based on popular candy bars and a line of drunken cupcakes that are perfect for a girls’ night out or even bachelorette parties. The entire team is professionally trained and committed to staying up to date on the current trends for each wedding season. The company mantra is to create the cake experience you crave!
