I have worked with Teri to organize my home for the last 2 months. I am a mother of four and was feeling overwhelmed by the basic demands of taking care of my family. My cousin suggested I find a home organizer as she has moved many times in the last four years and hiring an organizer made these moves stress free. First off, Teri is very likeable and easy going. She first helped me get rid of many things I simply wasn't using and to have a place to put everything that was important. She spent time rearranging furniture and buying pieces to make the rooms in my home more stylish and livable. She even helped hang pictures. My home now is very easy to maintain and we are no longer losing our minds trying to find things. Our house cleaner is needed less; We are less stressed and come home to a home that literally looks staged. We have the added bonus of saving so much money by not doubling up on purchases that we had at home but couldn't find easily. She has completely transformed our house and our lives. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I will provide a free in-home consultation. It is necessary to get a scope of the job and determine an approximation of how long the project will take.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to ask the client to begin by determining what is working in the space that needs reviving. After we discuss why it works, we move on to what is not working. Together we brainstorm ideas for the perfect system or arrangement that fits into the client's personal lifestyle. From there we begin the journey whether decluttering, classifying, rearranging or redecorating until we reach a rewarding final outcome. Along the way, I provide support, confidentiality and education to help the client gain and maintain control of the gratifying transformation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have worked in the Home Improvement Industry for 30 plus years in Home Decor, Housewares and Home Organization in our family owned business. I have experience in space design and solutions. I have a teaching credential and training experience. I continuously research, take classes, attend seminars and trade shows on home organization, decorating and clutter control.
