Introduction: I serve Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. Services can be rendered at home or in the T2T Center. An initial assessment is taken for each child. I wholeheartedly recommend Mrs. T tutoring services. When my son was struggling with ELA, my wife and I searched far and wide to find a tutor to assist him with getting back on track. Our first instinct was to enroll him into one of the well advertised tutoring services. After a few months and a few thousand dollars later, we saw very little, if any, improvement in his work product. We went back to the drawing board and tried to do something totally different; a more personalized service. We interviewed several tutors and was extremely satisfied with the answers that Mrs. T. provided. Nonetheless, we were still skeptic on how her answers would translate into practice, especially with my son who is a normal cantankerous teenager. Mrs. T, however, made us “believers”, from the very first session which included a diagnostic. From the very beginning, her approach, communication style, and command over the subject matter immediately infused in my son a sense of confidence that have been missing for quite some time. As such, I believe he benefits tremendously from Mrs. T who is consistent and charts his progress from session-to-session, unlike the “big-box-store” tutoring services who rotate tutors. Additionally, Mrs. T developed an amazing relationship with his ELA teacher and collaboratively devised a work-plan that addressed both his strengths and areas of opportunity, which have resulted in a spike in his ELA grade. Lastly, one of the greatest benefits is that the services can be provided in the comfort of your home, local library or after-school location. Basically, I highly recommend her tutoring services if you have a student who is struggling or have become disinterested in the learning process, or just need to hone their ELA skills.

Ms. Timika has been tutoring my son for a year and I have seen his grades drastically improve. She works with his teachers to make sure he receive the proper instructions and what he can improve. She is very flexible with hours and always willing to provide additional time.

I provide sibling discounts. I also provide my tax ID number for them to write the services off on their taxes.

I inquire about the students academic strengths and weaknesses. I assess them for an hour.

I have a Masters degree in Literacy and a Bachelors degree in English.
