FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. We offer fair pricing based on the local market. Labor rates are fixed with a one hour minimum. We offer upfront pricing on all services before the work. Lockout services are a fixed amount, we don't take advantage of those in need of help. We typically can offer fixed rates over the phone, however that dependent on receiving accurate information from the customer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always start with introductions and discuss the work to be completed, followed by being escorted through the property to locate the locations to be worked on. If there are additional concerns we will always address them before the work starts, unless they are not visible (this is not a disclaimer to markup the price on a job, but a realistic occurrence that is unfortunate, typically if the fix is not costly, we will absorb it into the upfront price). We confirm the amount of time the work should take, and if we go over in time, we never charge additional labor time. After the work is completed, we walk with the customer to inspect the work and answer any questions. Warranty for work is always discussed before we leave. For Emergency Lockout Service, even by appointment, customers must present a drivers license or other official ID. The locksmith will fill out a form and have the customer sign it before he provides entry. this is to protect Lock Jocks Locksmith Service and the Locksmith from being accused of any wrong doing. If the Locksmith feels that the customer is being dishonest or misleading, at anytime, we will refuse providing service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There are many locksmith schools that provide specialty education, however the services that Lock Jocks provides are typical: Installations, Repair, Rekeying, and Access Service. If we identify that the services required require specialized tools or training, we will not train on the job at the customers expense. Our training has come from years of understudying and continued education into products and methods. Like many fields, training is a continuious requirement as the technology is always improving.
