We have been working with Mark Good for almost a year and have been amazed at his remarkable patience with us in pursuing the perfect retirement home. Knowing that it would likely be 12-18 months before we would move from Maryland to Florida, we perhaps started the search prematurely. Our reason was that, though we had grown up in north Florida, it has been over 45 years and much has changed. We wanted a realtor that would educate us in the different areas in NE FL, St augustine,Jacksonville and the Beaches and give us greater understanding of home versus condo living with all the amenities and fees. We have made 4 trips to FL over the past year and each time Mark has made appointments for us to see multiple listings. He has graciously spent 1-3 days with us on each of these occasions. He is diligent in daily sending new or changed listings from which we select the homes to view. On several occasions, he has gone personally to see a property that we thought promising and take photos of the neighborhood. He has been quick to say that we would not be satisfied and give the reasons. Mark has invested a remarkable amount to time with us and for us. He is definitely a business person and ultimately wants to make a sale but he has never put pressure on us to purchase. In fact recently we had actually made a bid on an oceanfront condo. During this process, he took a trip to the property to view any damages after a recent storm. The photos of the erosion were very enlightening and after extensive research, we withdrew our bid. Over and over again, Mark has demonstrated that he is not self-serving but at all times is working in our best interest. He is very professional and yet very personable. He is very knowledgable in the area of NE FL, and the business of real-estate. If asked something he doesn't know he either researches the answer or refers you to an expert. Without reservation, we recommend Mark for his expertise, integrity and patience. We can't think of anyone better.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Commissions are based on the sales price so we never know the commission until a property is selected or until a listing is sold. My average sales price for sellers is 1.84% higher than the average in the MLS so seller comes out very well. I also sell homes significantly faster than the average agent. Recent stats say 34% faster.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If a buyer is just starting their search I provide listings so they can get to know the area they want to live in and see examples of their price range. When they get 60-75 days from needing to purchase then we begin looking at homes to zero in on their favorite. Working with sellers is a process of educating them on the market and explaining my marketing. My education includes extensive negotiation training so that is appropriate for buyers and sellers. If buyers want to search by lifestyle I send them to LifestyledListings. If they want to buy in other parts of Florida I have a site just for that purpose for new homes. I also provide a service where I help out of state sellers find an agent in their home town through my extensive referral network.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an education junkie. I may have attended more conferences and trainings than any other Realtor in NE Florida. I attend 4-6 or more multi day conferences a year. I attend many events at the local Board of Realtors. In 2012 I won the Professional Development Award for the most training. I always pick up something valuable from attending these events. A recent example of a summit in Orlando was I met a lady from Pennsylvania who shared her "Top 40 Tips for Selling your Home". An event I went to in San Francisco in August I learned about Lifestyledlistings of which I'm now a member and you can search for your home based on your lifestyle. A Luxury Home event in Beverly Hills taught how to apply methods luxury home agents use that can be applied to all price ranges. A recent in event in Atlanta taught how to use my CRM better to keep in touch with customers who have a longer timeframe. All these are terrific opportunities to learn from agents in other parts of the country.
