I've hired Joel Greiner (Paint the Earth) three times now, and been quite satisfied with each experience. I had him paint the exterior of our house, the basement, and a bedroom. Sometimes he brings a helper. Joel responds immediately by text and email with clear quotes; he then shows up on time, and completes work in a speedy manner. Speed and responsiveness are his super skills. He has a steady hand at the window-sill, and I find his prices to be just right. He's nice to have around the house, as he doesn't talk too much or too little, or play loud music; I think he may be a musician. For sure he's a Dad with many mouths to feed, which is probably the reason he gets the job done. Just my cup of tea.

Joel did a great job of painting 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in our house. The job included walls, ceilings, baseboards and trim. He was very thorough and detailed. I was very happy with the work he did. I also appreciated that he was on-time each day and was willing to work with our vacation schedule. Overall, great experience!

We had our entire home interior painted including some tricky stairwells. Joel's work was excellent & he suggested specific paint types to complement each room. We were very happy with the job and it was good to have someone trustworthy (who had great references) that we could leave in our home unattended.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My cost is figured based on time and materials for a given job. I am happy to purchase paint with my contractor discount. I typically purchase paint from Benjamin Moore, PPG, or Sherwin Williams.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically communicate with customers via phone, text or email prior to completing a bid. After completing a bid and upon acceptance, I communicated in the means that is easiest for the customer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a painter in high school. I have worked for several painting contractors over the years. In the last 3 years I established my company, Paint the Earth, LLC.
