Joel did a awesome job. He was on time and worked diligently to get the job done. He removed wall paper and repainted and made to room look totally different. I would recommend him to anyone.May 12, 2016Verified
I completely regret hiring Paint the Earth. Not only was the work not completed in the large timeframe that was given, it wasn't completed. I had items not completely painted (doors/closets), items with only one coat and showing streaks, and they were not clean/did not clean up after themselves. I spent hours cleaning up after them, including: removing spackle from the carpet and hardwood flooring; removing paint from numerous countertops, sinks, counters and faucets; and the need to touch up several pieces of white trim that had wall paint dripped onto. During the bid process, he also said he would fix minor drywall issues, which wasn't done beyond screw/nail holes. Joel also added to the original invoice additional costs for additional paint. After seeing the end product, I told him he needed to adjust the invoice and fix his work. He offered to take off $200 from the increased invoice (to take it back to the original price) and come back and finish. He blamed things on movers being in the way. Keep in mind that Paint the Earth was given 9 full days to complete the work (this did NOT include putting back on any electrical covers, which I said I would do) and nobody was in the house and almost no household items the entire time the work was being done. The work started on July 21 and the movers showed up on August 1! The only reason I didn't give one star is because the actual paint jobs are decent, although I expected better, especially for the price. After the offer was made by the contractor to return to "fix" things, I declined his offer after this experience. I would NOT recommend this contractor to anybody.Aug 10, 2016VerifiedPaint the Earth, LLC's reply
Jeff, I do appreciate your honest feedback. I apologize that you weren't happy with our painting services. I will take a good look at our cleanup process and plan to do a better job in the future. As you mentioned, I did offer several times to come back out to your house to correct the issues mentioned above.
Excellent experience. The work was started and completed on the promised time. Joel was professional, honest and very polite during each interaction.Jun 23, 2016Verified
I had a wonderful experience with this company. They were quick to respond to my needs and even worked me into their tight schedule. I admit I made some mistakes trying to work on painting myself. They came out, didn’t make me feel bad at all for making mistakes, and did a beautiful job. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them for any paint job you may need done.Mar 26, 2018
Very polite, professional, and punctual painter. After having painter from hell completely take my money and leave my house a mess, Paint the Earth saved the day. My house looks beautiful. I have neighbors compliment my paint often. This is the company to trust. Your painting will be exactly what you want.Mar 23, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My cost is figured based on time and materials for a given job. I am happy to purchase paint with my contractor discount. I typically purchase paint from Benjamin Moore, PPG, or Sherwin Williams.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically communicate with customers via phone, text or email prior to completing a bid. After completing a bid and upon acceptance, I communicated in the means that is easiest for the customer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started as a painter in high school. I have worked for several painting contractors over the years. In the last 3 years I established my company, Paint the Earth, LLC.
