We hired Matt with the PC Docs to recover some data from one of our PC's and install a new hard drive in it. Matt recovered the data we needed (some Quickbooks data files) and had the PC back up and running in the office 2 days later. That was about 2 years ago and we still use The PC Docs.

My old laptop was starting to crash frequently. I called one shop before The PC Docs, and they were rather rude and didn't want to answer any of my questions, and just wanted to tell me how much they charge and to make an appointment. When I called The PC Docs, Matt was very willing to hear what trouble I was having and quickly guessed the solution: a new hard drive was necessary. His availability was great, and his service charge was reasonable for the quality and speed of the work he did. The end result: feels like I have a brand new laptop!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. It's a flat $80 if you drop it off to me or a flat $145 fee if you need me to come to you. This is for residential clients only.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask the customer what the problem is. I inform them that there is no fee for diagnosing the issue. I let the customer know that it's much cheaper if they drop it off to me. Drop-off's and pickups are from 3:30 pm - 8 pm. I work out of my house, so I'm much cheaper than a typical store front.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
