Introduction: I lead two bands in the St. Louis area, one of which is an original rock band, and the other is a cover band available for booking at any variety of different events. I also teach private lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and songwriting. During the times of Covid-19 I have updated my lessons to be socially distant by offering lessons in my very well ventilated garage which is equipped with air conditioning, fans circulating air, plastic sheeting if desired to minimize any possible exposure, a video screen for instructional material, sanitized instruments, and amplifiers set up for any student need. I also offer Zoom lessons (using state-of-the-art audio capturing devices and high quality video) if the situation is easier for the student. I am a school music educator by trade and specialize in the instruction of students with special needs. It is my opinion that ANYONE can benefit from music, as it enriches all of our lives. I get to do something that I am passionate about all day, every day ... I get to play music around and with people. I also love to entertain folks and make them happy.

I started working with Greg privately when I was 9 years old and when Greg was working for a lesson service at a guitar store. He was always kind and patient, but always had enough faith in me to teach me more than what other 9-13 year-olds typically learn about guitar. Greg didn't just teach me to play songs, he taught me how to learn them. He taught me how to think musically, and to apply those musical thinking skills to my experience outside of him. He stuck with me after he quit working for that guitar store, and after he got a full time job teaching music at a school. He stuck with me 3 years longer than he had any obligation to, and he taught me more valuable skills than I believe other guitar teachers would have. But to top it all off, when he knew my journey with him was complete at the age of 15, he sent me on my way with all the skills I needed to continue progressing without him. I owe a lot of my passion toward music to Greg, and I certainly owe him for the skills I still keep up with 10 years later. I would strongly recommend him to any player at any age or skill level. He will be valuable to you.

Greg performed several carefully selected songs at my wedding ceremony in March 2016. It was super easy working with him and my husband and I were both very happy with his performance. His prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend him to anyone! I wouldn't have changed a thing. Additionally, Greg has taught weekly music lessons to my 7 year old daughter for the past 3 years which has completely erased her fear of performing in front of a crowd and totally expanded her musical mind. A+ Greg!!

Greg and the guys were great! They played at our fundraiser in the park in May. The music was outstanding, Greg did a great job interacting with the crowd, and they were very professional! Greg took care of the whole music side of things without me having to worry about a thing. Everyone at the event complemented on how great they were! I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work out my rates based on the needs of my individual customers and can be quite flexible. That being said my time is of course valuable and I try to work out rates that work for everyone involved!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I first start working with a student I typically do an "assessment lesson" where I can gauge their current level of skill and develop a plan for what they would like to accomplish. From there I introduce different exercises for the student to work on at home before our next lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a music educator for twelve years, from doing lessons informally to working in a music studio with clients. For the past eight wonderful years I have been the music teacher at a self-contained special education building working with students of all ages and an incredible range of disabilities. I've been performing music for audiences for the past 21 years both as a solo musician and a member / leader of various bands.
