FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee includes: - 3 Meetings - "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman which you both read - A temperament testing tool and detailed reports for both of you - Contacting 4-6 family members and friends (for each of you) for input and insights about the two of you - Discussions (second and third meetings) with the two of you regarding what you learned about yourselves and each other - The Rehearsal (if available) - A spiritual, sentimental yet light-hearted, joy-filled Ceremony that is ALL about the two of you that you and your guests will always remember! - My fee for your TOTALLY personalized ceremony that people will be talking about for years to come is $675.00. If your wedding is outside of the St. Louis region, a Rehearsal/Travel fee will be incurred.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I understand budget issues and it’s important to me that couples get their money’s worth…and more! Your wedding day is all about YOU - as well as your connection to your wider community of family and friends - so this is what I do for you to create a ceremony that is 100% personalized and memorable: I meet with you initially and we get to know one another; if we decide that we make a good team, I give you “The Five Love Languages” which you both read and learn all sorts of new and interesting things about each other! The next time we meet is two months before your nuptials and we go over what you learned from reading the book as I include some of that into your ceremony; you also send me the names of 4-6 people (for each of you) who know, love, and adore you and I send them questions that help me know who each of you are and I put that into your ceremony too! About a month out from your wedding, I send you a temperament testing tool (takes @ 10 minutes) that will help you solve conflicts in healthy ways and communicate even better with one another (added bonus: with your family, friends, and co-workers too). Two weeks later or so, we meet again and I hand you the detailed results of what you learned about yourselves and we discuss how that applies to your partner, some of which is also incorporated into your ceremony . We also go over nuptial details and you let me know if you want to add anything (if you haven’t already), like readings, a unity ceremony, special blessing vows you each wrote or found (I can help with that if needed). After that third meeting, you will receive three questions that I ask you not to discuss with one other; on your wedding day you will find out what each of you said about the other (Yay! Romantic sigh!). I also attend your rehearsal (if available), and if you don’t have a wedding planner or venue manager, I coordinate practicing who walks down the aisle, who stands where, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I served as the Mayor of Webster Groves and in other leadership roles for decades... which makes me VERY comfortable in front of a few people or a crowd. My public speaking skills are such that I help YOU feel confident, calm and relaxed. And I know how to make an audience - your guests - enjoy themselves and feel like they are an integral part of this most important of days, your wedding day.
