Introduction: I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed school counselor with over 20 years of experience. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I enjoy helping people rediscover the joy and passion in their lives. I believe that healthy relationships with ourselves and with others are essential to our well-being. Pam is a wonderful therapist and has been very helpful to me. It's not just that she listens to you, it's that she really hears what you're saying ... and what's underneath and behind what you're saying. She has re-framed negative situations when I have felt bad about myself and shown me the positive in those situations, without ever making me feel shamed or judged. In fact, her words have often taken away the shame and judgment I put on myself. She has offered me practical parenting advise for my special needs son that I have used immediately with great success and has been a strong source of encouragement in my personal growth. I highly recommend Pam!

I accept many insurance plans, so my prices vary according to the insurance plan's deductible and copay.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Because choosing a therapist is such a personal decision, I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone or in-person consultation to help you discover if I'm the right fit for you. During our first two full sessions I ask many questions relating to your health, family, and social history. I also listen to what is most important to you, and what you would like help with. I believe that my clients and I are partners working together to create a new outcome that benefits your vision of what you would like your life to look like.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two professional licenses: LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist) and LSC (licensed school counselor). I received my master's degree in counseling in Adlerian psychotherapy at the Adler Graduate School in Minneapolis, MN, and my bachelor's degree in psychology at College of St. Benedict/St. John's University, St. Joseph, MN.
