Anton Remodeling LLC
About this pro
Last year, we started a DIY project that was derailed by the discovery of significant carpenter ant damage, well beyond our ability to address. We contacted Anton Remodelling LLC after an unpleasant experience with another contractor (whom we had to practically harass for an estimate and who seemed to want to slap a band-aid on a big problem). Anthony was honest with us, even though it was bad news, about the extent of the damage done to our wall. He initially suggested replacing the entire wall, but we asked if there was a less expensive, and still thorough, solution. He came through with an option that was reasonably priced, not so disruptive to our family, and still fully addressed the damage. (I'll note that Anthony was really respectful of our desire to finish the interior work ourselves in order to save money; we never felt pressured to hand over the rest of the job to him). In addition to being friendly and respectful of our family's space, Anthony even responded to our concern about the way the initial stucco application looked, getting it redone to our satisfaction within a couple of days. We are thrilled with the end to our nightmare situation and excited to have our "DIY" project handed back over to us!May 31, 2018Verified
We hired Anthony February 8th 2018 to put in vinyl plank throughout most of our townhome as well as refinish the trim and paint it white. He originally told us a week and a half. He did not complete the entire project until the last week of April, a total of 11 weeks. And to say I am disappointed with the finished product is an understatement. Just a few of the issues: **Trim needing more coats. We asked him several times to come out to do extra coats so that we couldn’t see the oak finish through and he never did. **The flooring has places where it sinks down when walked on. **When the trim was reinstalled Anthony left large gaps between the wall and the trim where it bowed outward. **Anthony had someone install carpet on our stairs and he never touched up the paint along the sides where the old carpet was a slightly higher pile, it looks terrible. **In our bathroom he reinstalled the trim too high and we got a slew of ants and had to buy several ant traps. **Anthony inconvenienced us greatly with how long this project took. A consistent, normal schedule of M-F 8:00-4:00 or 9:00-5:00 schedule would have been much appreciated. **We shouldn’t have been given an unrealistic timeline of 10 days. We should have been updated regularly. The fact that this project went well over 2 months is unacceptable to me. **Anthony never updated us on anything without us having to text once or twice to get a response. He didn’t show up several days, and we had to text him asking if he was even going to make it to our house. **Anthony took a couple vacations during this 11 week project and left our home a disaster. We felt like we had to move everything along and I just can’t express how disappointed I am. Anthony definitely needs to work on better communication with his customers. I am extremely disappointed in Anthony’s workmanship and the work done on our home is definitely not done to our standards and I completely regret hiring him. It’s a hefty mistake that we will be paying for quite some time.May 4, 2018VerifiedAnthony B.'s reply
I could answer these claims but won’t bother with much detail. Scope of work changed from original bathroom update of paint which was one week. Changed to entire house and obviously time changed. Spouse lost job week before Project finished and had a meltdown and the excuses started as to why they wouldn’t pay. Could post copies of ridiculous excuses but won’t bother. Very Immature folks and extremely self entitled.

Anton Remodeling came out the same day for a bid. He provided everything I could do and scaled it back to what I wanted for now within my budget. The job was basically fixing what another person's terrible job. Anton was creative and made everything look nice. Since I've had terrible experiences hiring contractors, I'm happy to say I found Anton Remodeling and looking forward to hiring again for future projects. The neighbors already said the would hire after seeing the before and after. Thank you again for your hard work and quick turnaround.Jan 9, 2018
Anthony did an excellent job with our project. We had him remove a railing with spindles that separated our kitchen and family room, and he built us a custom half wall/built-in shelf. It turned out perfectly. He was able to translate what I was looking for (but didn't know exactly how to describe) into a plan and then the final product. Also, I was amazed he took at look at our trim and was able to match it just by sight...we have a slightly off-white trim and the former owners of our house did not leave touch up paint. I have been trying to find the match for several years, and he knew it immediately, just on sight!Jul 29, 2017Verified
