About this pro
I got a call within an hour of sending an email to set up a free consultation! We just got a new rescue dog that desperately needs some basic obedience training. During our consultation, she had a bunch treats and toys for our two dogs to play with. She explained the way they like to do their training as well as tips and tricks for my immediate behavioral concerns. She was so flexible with scheduling our future appointments. We are so lucky to have found Canine Revival, and will be continuing training with them in the future.Aug 10, 2018Verified
Rita was so patient while working with our 9 month old Cavapoo. She helped him build his confidence & we could see this working after his first training session. She was so flexible and easy to work with. Not to mention the fact that our pup loved her from the start! I would definitely recommend Canine Revival!!Mar 21, 2018Verified
Working with Rita has been a phenomenal experience. She is professional, knowledgeable, but more than that she is an excellent instructor. You explain what you need and she has a resolution. Rita makes training easy. She makes sure you know how to work with your dog. Her hands on training gives you the knowledge and confidence to continue training. Both you and your dog will benefit from working with Rita. It’s reward based and fun. Don’t worry if you’re not getting it Rita is a phone call away. Her time with you is not just a schedule and we’ll talk about it on your next visit. She is there in between to guide you. I can not say enough about this remarkable woman and Canine Revival.May 18, 2018Verified
We worked with Rita to train our puppy with basic obedience and commands but ended up with so much more! Working one on one with Rita was not only fun for our puppy, but fun for us. You’ll learn a lot and she leaves you with so much more to help your dog grow for months after the training ends. She responds quickly and is super knowledgeable about everything dogs. We would highly recommend her training!Aug 2, 2018Verified
Rita was great and is really tuned-in to dogs and their personalities. I spent a wonderful hour with her ... for free... talking about how to train my dog to be more responsive to me. I have not been able to follow up with actual training session due to time and travel restraints, but will do so at earliest opportunity.Jul 27, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer a wide variety of dog-related services and some of them have standard pricing but some of them are quoted by the request. I am happy to work with the customer to find the exact right fit for their need and I offer lower cost packages if they are interested in several or repeat services. Pricing is actually sometimes less than advertised based on the dog, location and the service needed. Fair and honest pricing is very important to me!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The initial face-to-face meeting or phone consultation is always no-obligation and free of charge! It's a good opportunity for the customer to ask me questions, tell me about their dog, let me know what they expect, and, if it's in-person, we can see how their dog relates to me. It's also a great opportunity for me to begin designing a personalized plan based on their needs and what they want for their dog. We can talk about which service(s) interests them and they have a chance to decide if this is a good fit for them - all without spending a penny!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am certified in Canine Fitness Training (CCFT) and Canine Sports Massage Therapy (CSMT) and am a FitPaws Master Trainer (FP-MT). Obedience training and behavior adjustment have always been a big part of my life and, while I still teach formal obedience, I’ve designed a plan that is, by far, my most requested service. I call it the Family Life Training Program and it encompasses general obedience, proper house manners and basic dog living skills which are all tailor-made for your dog’s unique personality. We will enhance the good things your dog already does and we’ll address any issues that may be making life a little less than perfect. The Family Life Training Plan helps our dogs ‘fit in’ and become loved and valued members of our family. I have 10+ years of experience as a veterinary x-ray and treatment technician and a vet surgical assistant, and I worked at a doggie day care and learned so much about group interactions among dogs! I also have quite a bit of experience in rescue and am the rescue coordinator for Irish Wolfhounds in Minnesota and North Dakota. Love rescue work! All of this experience has helped me really understand dogs and working with them has always come very naturally to me. There’s nothing I’d rather be doing.
