Luke did a fantastic job setting up my e-commerce site on my website. He quickly and effectively answered all of my questions and also educated me on different options for setting up my online store. I would highly recommend him to anyone!Aug 31, 2017Verified
Luke is very responsive and dependable. He built our site years ago and it still looks great today! Every few months, our site has a viral post (40k + social media shares) and he has helped us navigate the heavy traffic with professionalism and punctuality. He let's us know when its time for an update and presents options that fit our budget and gives us clear options for upgrading our site for the future. We recommend Luke! I am one first companies to have a fully functional e-commerce web site. At every stage of the process I was dealing with people who lacked integrity, professionalism, fairness, and real knowledge of their industry. I was broken. When I met Luke, I told him about my past experiences. He heard me and designed a brand new site that is everything and more than I expected. He was completely fair and friendly I recommend L. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I typically charge a fixed project cost for websites. For maintenance or repair work, I work hourly. My websites costs typically between $3,000 and $6,000, depending on the complexity and scope.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We start by talking about the basics: why do you want a new website? Could we fix up an old one? What is the ultimate goal of this website? Then we talk about logistics: when do we need it done? What assets do you have? Do you have a sitemap in mind? What other websites do you like? The initial conversation is typically an hour or two. After that, I'll design a rough draft. We'll talk, evaluate, and make changes until we get to something that works. Then we go live and fix up anything was missed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've been building websites for over 10 years. My platform of choice is Wordpress. I have degrees in English Literature and Writing, and Philosophy. These help, but mostly I've been self-taught. I did do a Codecademy certification earlier this year: "Build Front End Apps from Scratch." (I wanted to get a basic understanding of react.js, what Facebook is coded on.)
