Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: As a health and fitness professional, I have been helping people reach their goals for the past 10 years. I have been very fortunate to work with a variety of different people, from professional athletes, recovering addicts, amputees, and people with various conditions or disabilities. Although they all had varying goals and skill levels, I was able to guide them to their goals through sustainable and healthy methods. I received a bachelors degree in Exercise Sports Science from the University of Utah, where I specialized in fitness leadership. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), as well as a Hardstyle Kettlebell Certified instructor. Outside of the fitness realm, I am certified in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (T-CCC) through the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. I help my clients break down their goals into manageable and do-able steps. When road-blocks pop up we will work as a team to identify the issue and find healthy ways of navigating them. I believe that health and fitness comes from training, nutrition, and living an active life in a way that works for YOU and brings more to your life than it takes away.

tl;dr version: Parker is an excellent personal trainer so give him your money already. Long version: When choosing a personal trainer, everyone should have high standards. We're paying decent money and we expect (injury-free) results. This means a good trainer has personality, credentials, workout variety, a science-based methodology, the necessary experience and expertise, and availability. Personality is probably the most important criteria and Parker wins. He's exceptionally easy to get along with, has a great sense of humor (he's witty, too, which I greatly appreciate), and makes workouts entertaining. I get bored with even the hint of a routine, and in the six months I've been training with Parker I've not once fallen victim to boredom. He also creates highly-effective program modification when goals shift, and that level and skill of adaptability is rare. I also expect a scientific approach to fitness and nutrition, and Parker provides that, disagreeing (providing evidence) with the PT party line when it falls outside of evidence-based science. Being older, I require a level of experience to ensure I get the most out of training while remaining free of injury. I also expect a high level of expertise to I get the maximum benefit from each training session. Parker has both experience and expertise, which means I don't need to worry about injury or that I'll be throwing money away discussing the nutritional and spiritual merits of eating asparagus and mushroom Jell-O out of a quartz bowl while listening to ritual tantric chanting. If, on the other hand, I want to try something new that Parker hasn't done before (this is rare), he'll do the research, find the relevant scientific information, and create or modify a program around that. All of this means I'm healthier, stronger, and in far better shape than at any other point in my life (even when I was regularly running half marathons). I cannot recommend Parker enough.

Thank you for the kind words Brigg. Your sessions are some of my favorite, and you definitely keep it interesting. Can’t wait for your next spartan race this year!

Parker is amazing. He is one of the few trainers who not only possesses real world experience in the realm of fitness, but he also possesses a bachelor's degree, as well. This dedication to both theory and practice enable Parker to stay ahead and implement new fitness trends while still employing tested methods. In addition, Parker listens to the needs of his clients. If a particular exercise is not working, he will find one that accomplishes the same fitness goal without endangering the client. Finally, Parker is interested in training the 'whole' person. His ultimate goal is to see his clients leave with the ability to train themselves. This may seem counterintuitive but it demonstrates Parker's dedication to not his clients but to his profession, as well. Seldom do you see such integrity in any profession. And it Parker's dedication that will not only transform your body but your mind, as well.

Coach Parker is the best trainer I’ve ever worked with and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve had my fair share of coaches through playing team sports and I’ve also had a number of personal trainers. None of them have ever come close to Parker’s level of training. Over the years it’s been hard to stay consistent with working out. I wouldn’t see results fast enough, I would get bored with workouts, the workouts would be too hard so I’d give up after several sessions...the list goes on. When I started training with Parker a couple of years ago, that all changed. He’s incredibly bright and he uses that to create fantastic workout plans. He makes them hard enough that you see results quickly, interesting enough to make it so you enjoy working out consistently, and varied enough that you don’t get bored. Between his extensive experience, training, and education in fitness and his solid grasp of the human psyche, he’s able to help his clients push past their own roadblocks. Since working with Coach Parker I am in the best shape of my life, am more confident then I’ve ever been, and haven’t had a single panic attack. If you’re looking for a personal trainer that will help you make your goals a reality, you’ve found him.

I first began training with Parker Burns when he offered a beginning weightlifting class in 2016. At that time, I could not consistently perform a shoulder press using a ten-pound free weight and was rather self-conscious about my lack of muscle strength. I had also lost core strength for balance and the flexibility that I enjoyed when I was younger. I was so impressed with Parker’s knowledge and expertise in strength/weight training, coupled with his non-intimidating, easy going personality, that I decided to continue working with Parker as a personal trainer. Parker creates a comfortable atmosphere in which I have felt at ease trying new things such as kettlebells. He always demonstrates the exercises, answers my questions, and places a high value on correct form with each exercise. I have been working with Parker for the past 3 years and I have achieved much more than I thought possible working on building strength, balance, flexibility, and overall fitness. I can deadlift more than my own body weight. I have increased energy; my balance and flexibility have improved significantly, and I have noticed a tremendous change in strength level. I am probably more fit now at age 50 years old than I was at age 18 or 19 years old. Parker Burns is professional, reliable, and knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness and strength training. No matter what your fitness goals, I am certain that Parker Burns is more than capable to lead you every step of the way. I give him my highest rating and happily continue to train with him.

Most important to me: Careful to avoid injuries to me while training. Excellent variety of exercises including strength, endurance, and stretching. Good sense of humor. Broad knowledge of training techniques. Also knowledgeable about nutrition. I've gotten stronger, have much better aerobic ability, and lost 60 pounds.
