Introduction: I am a certified dog trainer. I went to school at animal behavior college. I'm an all positive reinforcement dog trainer and fully insured. I love animals and I believe in making training interesting and fun for dogs. Not painful and unpleasant. I feel dogs learn better with positive training. They also are more loyal and loving if they know they can trust you. That's what I teach my clients. To have fun with training and build a trust and bond between dog and owner. I love helping people and animals. With training I get to do both. I love teaching a dog something and seeing them finally understand what I wanted. I love helping owner train their pups and help mold them into well trained/behaved dogs they have always dreamed of. Most of all I love working with dogs all day!!

It’s my pleasure to recommend Stephinie Italiano for dog training, walking and sitting. Stephinie has been my dog sitter for the past 3 years. She is honest, dependable, and goes the extra mile to make sure that my dogs are happy. My dogs are both shy and she was able to make both of them feel at ease quickly with her kind and gentle approach. Stephinie is also an excellent dog trainer. She is highly skilled in helping fearful, aggressive dogs become more confident and therefore no longer aggressive. Dogs that used to be afraid to walk out of their home, are able to enjoy walks after she works with them. Dogs that used to bark, growl and lunge at other dogs and people on walks are able to walk past confidently without become aggressive. Stephinie is just absolutely fabulous with my precious pup. Not only does he love her visits, she also takes the time to work on behaviors/habits that I want my dog to learn and sustain. She is almost like a dog walker/ playmate and trainer all rolled into one :-) I cannot say enough good things about Stephinie.

Stephinie has been walking my dog, Arthur, every weekday for the past year and also boards him at her home when I'm out of town. I have a very hyper dog and Stephinie goes above and beyond to make sure he gets plenty of exercise. She runs/ hikes/ and plays fetch with him- he always comes back exhausted. She's also a dog trainer so she works on commands with him as well. Stephanie always comes on time and is super reliable.

Stephinie has been working with my dog, Scout, for a few months. He is a high anxiety, leash reactive dog and Stephinie has done an amazing job with him. She plays with him, does training exercises with him and, after only a month, was able to walk him! She clearly loves dogs and has a way with them. She is reliable and professional. As a bonus, Stephinie leaves us detailed notes about how Scout did that day which we really appreciate.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour. I do give discounts for certain situations.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll start off with a consultation. I'll get your dogs total history. (medical,behavior etc) I ask what problems you are having and give you the best solution to solve your problems. I'll show you how to get the behavior you ask for as well as watch you do it for yourself. I always make training fun for both dog and owner. You don't only change your dogs behavior but also build a stronger bond.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a certified dog trainer. I got certified through Animal Behavior College. I also spent six months with a mentor that gave me hands on experience. I'm always learning from other experienced positive reinforcement trainer and try to expand my knowledge and techniques. I'm also certified in CPR and first aid.
