FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Individual lessons are $84\ per hour, $63 for 45 minutes and $42 for 30 minutes. Ongoing lessons are charged as a monthly tuition, calculated based on my number of working weeks in a year (42) and a slightly discounted hourly rate. It works as follows: One hour lessons: ($82/lesson x 42 weeks) / 12 months = $287/month 45 min lessons: ($61.50/lesson x 42 weeks) / 12 months = $215/month 30 min lessons: ($41/lesson x 42 weeks) / 12 months = $144/month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I suggest that students come for a 30 minute lesson to start with to see if it is a good match. From there, we can determine a lesson length and schedule that work best.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying voice and music since I was a teenager, and performed as a singer all my life. I have a Bachelor's degree from Oberlin College, a Masters Degree in Creative Arts from San Francisco State University, and a certificate in Kodály Music Education from Holy Names University. I have done further study in music theory and ear training at College of Marin, as well as further music pedagogy study at SF Orff. I am always seeking opportunities to learn and grow as a singer and a teacher.
