FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not do by the hour. As stated above, I prefer to schedule to look at the project and then quote it. You can then say yes or no and if its yes we will then schedule a day for the work to be completed. I never ask for a deposit as I feel I dont need to be paid until the customer is satisfied.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like scheduling with the customer to look at a project, no matter what the size of it is. I then get an e-mail address of which I will send a written quote that will be a firm quote. No additional charges after the job has started unless it is of a certain situation for example like needing to open up a wall to find out if there's additional work to be done , however that would be written into the quote. There are some projects with unforeseen issues. I never go forward with out showing the customer the issues and giving additional costs quotes or recommendations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 35 years of experience. Was a licensed builder and home remodeler in Wisconsin until I moved here. I have decided to downsize and have less overhead since moving here a year ago. I made the move mostly to be closer to my Daughter and brand new Grand Daughter! I am not licensed as of yet in California but I am working on it.
